Meher Rafiq
Meher Rafiq
Meher Rafiq is a longtime Franklin resident, public school parent, community activist, and academic and financial professional with over 30 years in banking. She serves on the MLK Foundation Board and is running for the Board of Education to strengthen academics, bring budget responsibility, support teachers, and ensure every child in Franklin has access to strong, inclusive, high-quality public education. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, connecting with neighbors and frequenting local coffee shops.

Jennifer Welch
Jennifer Welch is grateful for the education that her children received in Franklin and is eager to leverage her expertise to continue to build township schools. As a career educator for 32 years, she has worked for decades to ensure that all students have access to excellent school programs that prepare them for careers and citizenship. Jennifer enjoys participating in a number of book clubs, singing Broadway scores, and drinking large quantities of coffee.

Clara Wilson
Clara Wilson, a certified educator, has taught in multiple school districts with diverse student populations. She is passionate about ensuring that the needs of each student are met and that they all have an equal opportunity to flourish. With over 15 years in education, Clara is also an ardent advocate for teachers. Clara is a small business owner and mother of two young boys. When she’s not working on pianos or spending time with her children, Clara enjoys gardening, playing piano, cooking, and raising chickens.
